Waleed W. Shindy, MD, MPH is a California native, completing all of his education and post-graduate training at UCLA. He has a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, and his MD and Fellowship in Gastroenterology from UCLA. He completed his Residency at the VA Greater Los Angeles Health System. He served as the Chair of Medicine at Huntington Hospital from 2018 to 2020.
Dr. Shindy has been actively serving the Pasadena community since 2004 and is an active member of the teaching staff, taking an interest in educating medical residents. He is a member of the LA County and California Medical Associations, American Medical Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the American College of Physicians (ACP). His group strives to provide optimal care for patients’ digestive health problems in an environment in which they can be comfortable and feel confident in getting the best advice and the most effective treatments.
His clinical focus includes Gastroenterology, Colonoscopy, Colon Cancer Screening, Upper GI Endoscopy, ERCP, Capsule Endoscopy, Hemorrhoid Therapy, Hemorrhoid Banding, and Telehealth Consultations.
