Dr. Zaree Babakhanian grew up in nearby Montrose and La Crescenta. After obtaining his undergraduate degree from UCLA, he attended the Chicago Medical School. After four years in Chicago, he returned to Southern California, where he completed his residency and fellowship at the Keck Medical Center of USC. He spent the last year of his fellowship focusing on advanced pancreatic and biliary endoscopy.
Dr. Babakhanian has been in practice in Pasadena since completing his fellowship training at USC. He is an active member of the teaching staff at Huntington Hospital and enjoys working with the medical residents. He enjoys all areas of gastroenterology with a particular interest in endoscopic removal of large colon polyps and biliary endoscopy. When Dr. Babakhanian is not at work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, biking, and photography.
