Dr. Rebecca Salvo is a native Californian, born and raised in La Canada Flintridge. She studied economics with a pre-medical track at Haverford College, where she played volleyball and was a four-time All-American. She went on to complete a post-baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania while also doing clinical research at the Penn Scheie Eye Institute.

She attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and then moved back to California to complete her internal medicine residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where she was a chief resident. She finally completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas before deciding to move back to beautiful Santa Barbara to practice.

Her clinical focus includes Gastroenterology and Urinary Tract Infections.
