Dr Rebecca Salvo is native Californian, born and raised in La Canada Flintridge. She studied economics with pre-medical tract at Haverford College where she played volleyball and was a 4 time all American. She then went to complete a post-baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania while also doing clinical research at the Penn Scheie Eye Institute. She then attended Philadelphia college of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and then was able to move back to California to complete her internal medicine residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where she was a chief resident. She finally completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas before deciding to move back to beautiful Santa Barbara to practice.
