Mayank Patel, MD

Dr. Mayank Patel was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia, and then moved to the United States to pursue his formal education. He earned his undergraduate degree at Boston University in Human Physiology in 2001 and his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston in 2006. Dr. Patel completed an internship in general surgery and then began his urology residency at UCLA. He completed additional training in Robotic Urologic Surgery at Swedish Medical Center, Seattle. He earned the prestigious Willard E. Goodwin Resident Teaching Award.

Dr. Patel is a member of the American Urologic Association and the Los Angeles County Urological Society. His clinical interests include urologic cancers and robotic urologic surgery, and he is one of a handful of surgeons in Los Angeles who can perform robotic retroperitoneal surgery.

His clinical focus includes Robotic Assisted Surgery, Advanced Endoscopic Stone Surgery, Urologic Cancer, Prostate Disease, and General Urology. He is fluent in English and Gujarati.
