Liya Sarkisyan is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in her field. She obtained her undergraduate degree from UCLA, majoring in psychobiology, and her Master’s degree in nursing from UCLA, completing a post-master’s certificate program from Azusa Pacific University.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Liya worked bedside as a registered nurse, helping to care for critically ill patients in a hospital setting. From all the various specialties Liya has encountered, she has enjoyed gastroenterology the most and feels that it has been her calling all along.
Her clinical focus is Gastroenterology. She is fluent in Armenian. When not at work, Liya is focused on spending quality time with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys the arts very much, including ballet and writing, and loves to bake sourdough bread.
