Liya Sarkisyan is board certified nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in her field. She obtained her undergraduate degree from UCLA, majoring in psychobiology. She then moved on to obtain her Master’s degree from UCLA in nursing and completed a post-master’s certificate program from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Liya worked bedside as a registered nurse, helping to care for critically ill patients in a hospital setting. From all the various specialties Liya has encountered, she has enjoyed gastroenterology the most and feels that it has been her calling all along.
When not at work, Liya is focused on spending quality time with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys the arts very much, including ballet and writing. She also loves to bake sourdough bread. She is fluent in speaking, reading and writing in Armenian.
