Ernest H. Agatstein, MD, FACS is a founding member of West Coast Urology. He is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UCLA, where he also received his medical degree and was admitted to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed his surgical internship, general surgery training, and urologic residency at UCLA Medical Center.
Board-certified and board-recertified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Agatstein is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Urological Association. He served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine from 1987 to 2019, and as Chief of Urology at Centinela Hospital and PIH Downey.

- Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) for the State of California Workers' Compensation Program. Has evaluated hundreds of firefighters, police officers, and deputy sheriffs among other injured workers in complex medical-legal cases since 1987.
