Dr. Cohen serves as President and a member of the Board of Managers of Unio Health Partners and also serves as President of Genesis P.C. He brings over 30 years of medical practice experience, 20 years in medical staff leadership, and more than ten years as a practice management executive.

Dr. Cohen has served as a Board-certified private practice urologist in La Jolla and Encinitas since 1990. He rose through the ranks of medical staff leadership to become Chief of Staff at Scripps Encinitas Hospital in 2005-2006 and continues to serve on the Medical Executive Committee today. In 2011, he helped lead the formation of Genesis Healthcare Partners, which brought together nine separate practices of urologists and radiation oncologists, totaling 20 physicians. In 2021 he transitioned Genesis to a PE backed MSO and helped expand Genesis to over 150 providers. He is deeply involved in healthcare advocacy, sitting on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Clinical Urologists (AACU), the American Independent Medical Practice Association (AIMPA) and serves as President of the California Independent Physician Practice Association (CIPPA).

Dr. Cohen graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology and attended UC Davis Medical School. He completed his internship and urologic residency at UC San Diego.
