Dr. Golpanian completed his undergraduate education at New York University (NYU) and earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. He remained at NYP Brooklyn Methodist for his gastroenterology fellowship, receiving advanced training in the full spectrum of digestive and liver diseases.

His clinical expertise includes:

  • Colorectal cancer screening and prevention
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and functional GI disorders
  • Fatty liver disease and other hepatobiliary conditions
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy, and polypectomy)

Dr. Golpanian is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).

As someone who has cared for diverse communities across New York, Dr. Golpanian is passionate about building trust and improving access to digestive care. He values long-term relationships with his patients and believes in being a true partner in their health. His approach blends evidence-based medicine with a thoughtful, community-centric touch — aiming to provide care that is both effective and personalized.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Golpanian enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with his close-knit family, traveling, and staying active — from hiking to strength training. He’s a self-proclaimed foodie, a lifelong Knicks fan, and is always up for a beach day or last-minute weekend getaway.
