Dr. Julie Yang received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and is a graduate of Rush Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Her background includes areas of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Yang completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine and her Gastroenterology fellowship at Loma Linda University & Medical Center.
Dr. Yang joined the team at the South Pasadena office in 2008. She believes in treating the whole person and the patient as if he or she were her own family member, and in being a patient advocate.
Her clinical focus includes Gastroenterology, Colonoscopy, Hepatology, Hepatobiliary Procedures, Capsule Endoscopy, Hemorrhoid Therapy, Hemorrhoid Banding, and Telehealth Consultations. In her spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys playing piano and spending time with her husband and 3 children. She is fluent in English, Chinese-Mandarin, Spanish, and Taiwanese.
Dr. Yang believes in treating the whole person and the patient as if he/she were her own family member. She believes in being a patient-advocate, which she says is the best way to support her patients.
