Howard Chung, MD, is a gastroenterologist with Unio Specialty Care, practicing at the Los Alamitos office.
Dr. Chung completed gastroenterology fellowship at HonorHealth in Arizona and internal medicine residency through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and is board certified in internal medicine. Before fellowship, Dr. Chung served as a hospitalist and assistant professor at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn.
An active researcher with more than twenty publications and abstracts, Dr. Chung has studied celiac and immune-mediated digestive diseases, gastrointestinal cancers, and disparities in digestive health screening among Asian American communities.
