San Gabriel Physicians Expand Practice to Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 2020) – Genensis Healthcare Partners is proud to announce its newest location at 709 North Hill Street, Suite 18 in Los Angeles, California. The new location is the second for physicians Ken D. Nguyen, M.D. and Tien-Chun “Tim” Chen, M.D., who opened their first office in San Gabriel in 2018. They begin seeing patients in Los Angeles starting February 2020.
“It’s a pleasure to be able to provide quality care to the Chinatown population. I hope to become an integral part of the community and provide individualized patient care for years to come,” said Dr. Tien-Chun Chen. Dr. Chen earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He returned to his hometown of Houston to complete his three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology before relocating to Los Angeles.
“I am truly excited to take part in Genensis Healthcare Partners’s expansion into Chinatown and Downtown Los Angeles. I am looking forward to providing quality GI care to a community that is in need of quality specialty care,” said Dr. Ken Nguyen. Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He returned to Los Angeles where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He went on to complete a specialty fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he trained with Dr. Tien-Chun Chen.
Dr. Chen and Dr. Nguyen specialize in various areas of comprehensive gastrointestinal care, including routine Colonoscopy and Endoscopy, management of advanced liver disease, screening and management in Gastric Cancer in the Asian population, capsule endoscopy, and small bowel enteroscopy.
