Brain Cancer
Approximately 17,000 new cases of brain cancer occur every year in the United States. They are relatively rare in childhood and adolescence, and then become increasingly more common as people age. Brain cancer accounts for about 2% of cancer deaths.
Astrocytoma
Approximately 18,000 people are diagnosed with brain cancer each year, and almost 13,000 Americans die of brain cancer yearly.
Anal Cancer
Anal cancer is fairly rare. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2012 about 6,230 new cases of anal cancer will be diagnosed in the United States.
