Why Choose CyberKnife S7?
CyberKnife isn’t a knife—it’s a revolutionary robotic radiation system that targets tumors without surgery or hospitalization. With our advanced CyberKnife S7, you benefit from:
- Unmatched Precision: Delivers high-dose radiation directly to tumors, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
- Real-Time Tumor Tracking: Uses AI-guided motion tracking for tumors that move (like those in the lungs, liver, or prostate).
- Fewer Treatments: Most patients only require 1 to 5 short outpatient sessions.
- Painless and Non-Invasive: No incisions, no anesthesia, no recovery time.
- Treats Hard-to-Reach or Inoperable Tumors: Especially valuable when surgery is not an option.
- No Invasive Head or Body Frame.

What to Expect With CyberKnife Treatment
Step 1: Schedule a Consultation
Meet with one of our experienced radiation oncologists to evaluate whether CyberKnife is appropriate based on the patient’s biopsy results, imaging, and overall health.
Step 2: Defining Target Location
To precisely define the target area, some treatments may require placing small gold markers (fiducials) inside or near the tumor — for example, in the prostate, lung, or liver. In other cases, such as brain or spine tumors, normal anatomy may be enough for tracking. If needed, fiducials are placed during an outpatient procedure similar to a prostate biopsy, usually under conscious sedation about two weeks before treatment begins.
Step 3: Imaging and Treatment Planning
If fiducials are placed, the patient typically returns for imaging about a week later. In other cases, imaging is scheduled as needed. These scans help the radiation team develop a personalized treatment plan based on the patient’s unique anatomy.
Step 4: Treatment Sessions
About a week later, treatment sessions begin. The patient typically undergoes 1–5 short, non-invasive outpatient sessions over 1–2 weeks*. During each session, the patient lies on a treatment table while the CyberKnife® System uses Synchrony® software to track respiratory movement and deliver precise radiation. No anesthesia is required during treatment.
Step 5: Follow-Up & Ongoing Support
After treatment, we’ll monitor your progress and coordinate follow-up care. Our team stays with you every step of the way to ensure the best outcome.
