Karen Lathers is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in emergency and acute care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kean University in 2010 and began her nursing career at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. She later relocated to California in 2019, where she worked in emergency and trauma services at Cottage Health, Santa Barbara.
Karen completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at United States University in 2022 and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Since transitioning to advanced practice, she has continued to broaden her clinical expertise as a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in non-surgical pain management through targeted injections, while also serving in leadership roles overseeing nursing teams that provide infusion therapy for patients with autoimmune disorders.
Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and 5-year-old German Shepard.
