Hassan Saada, DNP, NP-C grew up in England, Egypt, and Maine. He is a board-certified Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with over 4 years of experience in Urology. Hassan achieved his first nursing degree in 2009 at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. He then went on to practice at Massachusetts General Hospital in general medicine until 2016, when Hassan moved to Providence, Rhode Island to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs as an ICU nurse.
In 2017, Hassan began his graduate studies in nursing at the University of Rhode Island. He achieved his MS in Nursing in 2019 and began working as a Nurse Practitioner in Urology that same year at Providence VA Medical Center. In 2023, Hassan achieved his Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a research focus on improving health outcomes for transgender and gender-diverse veterans. Later that year, Hassan received the “Health Care Heroes: NP of the Year” award from the Rhode Island Monthly Magazine for his work implementing clinical staff education on transgender veteran care at Providence VA Medical Center. In this timeframe, Hassan also enjoyed teaching undergraduate nurses in the clinical setting at both the Community College of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island.
In the summer of 2024 Hassan moved to San Diego, California and began practicing with Unio at the Encinitas and La Jolla location, where he hopes to expand and grow his practice. Hassan has broad experience in urology; however, he has enjoyed a special emphasis on LGBTQ+ and Men’s Health. Hassan loves the outdoors, the ocean, food, and travel, and has been immersing himself and everything the San Diego area has to offer.
