Hassan Saada, DNP, NP-C grew up in England, Egypt, and Maine. He is a board-certified Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in Urology. Hassan achieved his first nursing degree in 2009 at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. He then began practicing at Massachusetts General Hospital until 2016, at which point Hassan moved to Providence, Rhode Island to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs as an ICU nurse.
In 2017, Hassan began his graduate studies in nursing at the University of Rhode Island. He achieved his master’s in nursing in 2019 and began working as a Nurse Practitioner in Urology at Providence VA Medical Center. In 2023, Hassan achieved his Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a research focus on improving health outcomes for transgender and gender-diverse veterans, later that year implementing clinical staff education on transgender veteran care at Providence VA Medical Center. In this timeframe, Hassan also held adjunct faculty positions teaching undergraduate nurses in the clinical setting at both the Community College of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island.
In the summer of 2024 Hassan moved to San Diego, California and began practicing with Unio Specialty Care at the Encinitas and La Jolla locations, where he hopes to continue to grow his practice. Hassan has broad experience in general urology; however, he has enjoyed a special emphasis on LGBTQ+ and Men’s Health. Hassan loves the outdoors, being active, travelling, and spending time with friends and family as he explores his new home here in San Diego.
